Best pre-owned luxury cars

With South Africans currently being squeezed for cash, new luxury cars are not as affordable as they used to be

South African motorists are feeling the pinch more than ever, as both petrol and diesel prices continue to increase. But that doesn’t mean that discerning drivers should compromise their taste. By opting for a quality pre-owned vehicle, you can drive the ride that suits your style, with the benefit of reduced instalment costs.

The Gumtree Pre-Owned Car Awards aims to equip consumers to make smarter purchasing decisions, and the shortlist is a testament to the great range and quality available on the pre-owned market says Jeff Osborne, Head of Automotive at Gumtree.

“Though motorists are tightening their belts across the board, luxury doesn’t have to be unattainable if you know what to look for. We launched the Gumtree Pre-Owned Car Awards because we believe there’s a strong need for an awards show that evaluates vehicles in the same way that most consumers do – through criteria like value retention, overall appearance and maintenance costs.”

The shortlist was determined in partnership with TransUnion, and will be judged by a panel of leading motoring experts. Winners will be announced in early November.
