The R&B star will be back in the country to serenade his fans with his repetoire of romantic songs

This woman's month is set to be one of the most exciting yet, with John Legend coming back to South Africa for a one-night only concert.

Legend, known for his unique blend of soul and R&B, is especially a hit with the ladies, owing to his charm and good looks. The multi-award-winning musician is sure to heat up the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, on the evening of 10 August. Legend is no stranger to our shores, having performed several times in the country before.

His fiancée, Chrissy Teigen was a guest of honour at the Fikile Mbalula foundation launch in late June. There, Teigen excitedly announced that her partner would be coming back to SA again. Hosted in conjunction with Metro FM and SABC3, only 4 000 tickets are available for the concert.

The aim of releasing a set number of tickets was to ensure concert-goers receive a premium, intimate experience, according to show organisers Trademark Entertainment. Attendees will also be entertained by local acts, former DESTINY cover star and Metro FM presenter Unathi Msengana and house group Mi Casa.

In addition, Mi Casa will be collaborating with Legend on a locally produced music track. Mi Casa tweeted: "Confirmed, we will be working on a track with John Legend. Watch this space!". Mi Casa scooped several Sama awards this year, including Best Newcomer. Metro FM presenter Thabo Molefe announced on his Twitter page this morning that he would be taking Mi Casa on a tour of the United States later this year.

Trademark Entertainment's Chris de Agrella said Legend's performance would honour women, as August was a significant month and commemorated the struggles women went through in the past. Tickets can be purchased from Computicket.
