In the past, you would have never mention "sexy" and "station wagon" in the same sentence – but this is set to change. Here are our top 3 station wagons.

Audi A4 Avant 2.0T FSI Ambition 155 kW multitronic
The Avant offers sporty styling, refinement and unique package for safety system together with excellent dynamic capabilities. The 2.0T FSI engine produces 155 kW at 4300 revs per minutes, accelerates from 0-100km in 7,1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 242km per hour.
Like with every A4 model, the avant comes standard with a lot of features. Additional features for the Avant 2.0T FSI include: Split rear seat, driver information system with colour display instrument cluster, start/stop system (for manual model only) and delux automatic air conditioner.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate C 200 T BlueEfficeincy

Honda Accord Tourer 2.4 I-VTEC Executive
The station wagon version is slightly lower than the sedan and adopts a more sportier theme.
The 2.4 litre engine delivers 148KW at 7000 revs per minute via a choice of either a six-speed manual gear box or a five-speed automatic. In terms of performance, it can accelerate from 0-100km in 7,8 seconds (which is the same as the Benz).
Despite the Accord’s styling dynamics, the 406 litre luggage capacity is one of the best in sport wagon category.
Price: R390 400

Would you ever consider buying a station “sports” wagon over a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)?
