Looking for a smooth shave? Consider these options.

Whether you're the busy man who's pressed for time, or the image-conscious exec who believes in making positive first impressions, there's a shaving method that's just right for you.

Ideally, a man shouldn't be told which contraption to use when it comes to the removal of his facial hair. It's always about personal choices. There're countless cases where fathers have introduced their sons to blade razors or electric shavers, only to find their offspring discovering their own preferences and opting for something different in the end. You need to find the method that best suits your lifestyle.

Electric shaver - for the guy on the go
One of the best things about the electric shaver is that you can use it almost anywhere. And if you're as comfortable as the lady folk with multitasking, you can plug your shaver in your car and clear away while killing time in the traffic jam. Not highly recommended, though, but you've definitely seen a girl applying make-up, talking on a mobile and driving at the same time.
If you're a globetrotter or jetsetter who's just landed to take off again, the electric shaver is for you. It's usually bigger than a blade razor, but often more portable as it can be used at places where there are power outlets. But be careful not to lose power in the middle of your shave because if it's not adequately charged, electric shavers can fail you unceremoniously. The other advantage is that it requires no grooming cosmetics such as shaving creams, gels or soap. And despite being applied on dry skin, you're still guaranteed a reduced chance of cutting your skin with the electric shaver. But as safe as it is, it's notorious for causing skin irritation in guys with sensitive skin - so an aftershave balm is highly recommended.

Blade razor - for Mr Smooth Operator
Let's face it, if it were up to us we wouldn't be shaving as often as we do. Now, for the bloke who prefers to shave less often than not, blade razors will give you the closest shave for a more extended period than the electric shaver. But the downside is that you'll spend a little more time in the bathroom, as you need to apply some grooming products, including shaving cream and an aftershave lotion.
Despite the blades tending to dull quickly and needing to be replaced every now and then, you'll love the velvety smooth feeling of your skin after every shave. But replacing the blades shouldn't put you off, really - it's a process that doesn't require rocket science. And razor blades are also very easy to clean and travel with. However, blade razors are not as adaptable as electric shavers and can only be used in bathrooms where there's water and other cosmetics.

But if you are the kind of guy who cares more about his looks than the average bloke, you'd feel a million bucks after every shave.
