Today South Africa in reality does not encourage confidence - by reality I suggest that compared to the convenient overview of South Africa whereby politics dictate the way we think and reason - reality on the ground is near catastrophe.
Start from the numbers that don’t gel - or make for a good reading. The number of unemployed workforce including the youth brigades that idle without action is anarchical. In terms of the extracted figure of 20 million people would be affected directly by the plight of 6million economically deactivated workforce. It is treason level to think that more people depend on grants compared to the number of tax payers - this must be nightmarish to the authorities -
The leaking bucket system personified - referred to the country that is on development path, been told that treasury is top notch and more so backed up by the so called best constitution in the world - yrt the ills remain on upward trends. Check how synchronized are the fundamental building blocks of failing or falling state - 'education' and 'health' - education was earlier described by Minister Motshekga as near state of disrepair - health system is also touch and go - baby deaths and insufficient staff are common agenda in both imperatives.
In the system where politics rule over logic and intellect measurement - Ministers find themselves working as fire brigades, chasing fires and most of the time and sadly they end up looking armature - Minister of Comm. v/s axed DG of the Dpt of Comm. is classic example of how fragile the governance system has become - personality clashes and aggression is the order of conflict situations.
Who came with the Tender System?
Who came with the Grants System?
Who came with the Agency System?
Why and why us the people have allowed the system to degenerate so far - it cannot be right that while the fire is blazing so uncontrollably we continue to stoke more fire by remaining or electing to be apathetical and reluctant to challenge the dire situation
Campaign for access to quality education -
Strict regulation of production and distribution of alcohol -
South Africa has gained so much mileage since 1994 - yet we're deciding to switch to a reverse gear and negate all the gains we have made so far,
Give my regards to the President,
Alphe
